My car was breaking down on my way to Griffith Observatory, so I had my friend map the closest auto repair shop. C&R Automotive Center came up and I managed to get my car in there right before it died. It was around 5pm when we got there, so we had to leave the car overnight since the shop closes at 6. Jaime helped us and told me what he thought the problem was (my alternator broke, which drained the battery), then gave me a quote to repair it. The next morning around 10 or 11, he called us and told us the car was ready. He had replaced the alternator and battery. Unfortunately, the alternator he had installed was faulty, so he had to replace it again with a whole new one. He also took apart my stereo to check that out since I thought that may have been part of the problem, which it was. He ended up spending a lot more time on my car than expected, but didn’t charge any more than the price he gave me the night before, which was really nice of him. I would highly recommend C&R Automotive Center because they are fair and honest and do a thorough job.

I have been told that I am the oldest customer of these folks – (I live down the street), and I can’t count the times that the guys at C&R have helped me out, done good inexpensive repairs – informed me about triage – that is what to fix NOW and what can wait – as my budget is limited. I have also gotten good new & used tires from them. These are realistic mechanics – they won’t throw out a whole system just to fix a small part! And they have a quick turnaround. Get in early in the day if you want the repair that day or the next. I even had them replace a whole engine once! And they shopped around for a good one for me.
